Michael S. Gutter is the author of Never Again Still MEANS Never Again, a brutally honest book addressing hate groups and discrimination. In this book you will find historical fact as well as opinion pieces and possible courses of action for the future. Michael’s message: enough is enough. Never Again Still MEANS Never Again is a new rendition of the previous book. Both books are the same call to action, but this new version shows another side to the call, one that may be more accessible to any age group. In this short interview, we’ve asked Michael some questions about his book and his intentions.
What do you think the main themes and messages of the book are?
I would say it’s broken up into 2 parts. The first part is I address various hate groups and hate group members. Secondly, I address my fellow Jews on the current state of our religion in the U.S. both in growth and participation.
How effectively do you convey the urgency of dismantling hate groups?
You’ll have to read it but currently there’s never been a book written conveying the urgency and dismantling of hate groups.
How well did the book explain the origins, ideologies, and tactics of hate groups?
”So, So.” Those really weren’t topics that I wrote about. My book directly addresses hate groups and their membership directly and what I think they should do, now.
Did the book provide new insights or perspectives on this topic?
Yes, yes and I’ll throw in a definitely.
Were there any specific case studies or real-life examples in the book that stood out to you?
A ton. From the Dedication in the book until the end, I weave in plenty of examples.
How did these examples contribute to your understanding of the challenges and successes in countering hate groups?
The examples I give support my understanding. It’s a massive challenge if someone fundamentally disagrees with my writing through ignorance, closed mindedness or just stupid.
Did the book emphasize the significance of collaboration between different stakeholders in countering hate groups?
In my opinion nothing is being done. Most Synagogues J.C.C.’s have hired police or security companies. It’s bullshit and really bothers me.
Were there any ethical dilemmas or considerations raised in the book regarding confronting hate groups?
Yes. We need to go on the offensive and get aggressive. Now, I think it’s totally ethical to go after people who want to harm us but way too many disagree with that.
How can readers actively contribute to your long-term vision?
They can join me and start getting aggressive.
Were there any particular stories or anecdotes that resonated with you personally?
You’ll have to read the book to really understand my comment on this issue, but every hate group, everyone, would have been tortured and killed if they would have claimed they were a nazi and they lived outside of Germany or Austria. It’s actually funny to me that let’s say a neo nazi in America, walked up to hitler with a big smile on his face and a swastika jean jacket. Hitler would have had his legs cut off within 15 minutes.
How do the themes and strategies discussed in the book relate to current events and societal discussions around hate and discrimination?
Definitely a lot of new information I provided brings it back to current time.
Can the lessons from the book apply to address contemporary challenges?
Of course. I also address to a certain extent racism, homophobia and the handicapped.

The harsh tone and writing in my first book, Never Again MEANS Never Again, is based on anger and 
frustration due to blatant lies that I grew tired of constantly debunking. A “no holds barred” response and long overdue. I wrote this version without the “R” rated language, dark humor, and innuendo. It contains the same content and subject matter as the first book, but in a way that anyone of any age can read and understand. Frankly, it should be required reading worldwide, in my humble opinion.

It provides facts and opinions on topics such as Hitler, Treaty of Versailles, Manhattan Project, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Nazis, Nobel Prize, Hollywood and much, much more.
